    I am sure it will work similar to Tesla Models that have dual motors. I remember reading if one motor fails you can continue driving with just the other motor.

    I would like to see a video of the console. What do the maps look like, how responsive is it, just the general design of it? I dislike 90% of cars touchscreen interfaces. Also what Jarross said, my dog goes to work with me and I spend half my life vacuuming trying to get hair out of the carpet.

    I don't mind giving up Carplay if the in house interface is up to par. I can't stand 90% of the tradition manufactures UI design. Greatest thing about android auto and apple carplay is Waze displayed on your screen... love being able to see where people have marked cops on the highway.

    If their is any kind of partnership, I hope its selling/licensing the tech to GM to jump start their EV program. I really don't want GM having any hand with the design of Rivian Vehicles.

    Just joined up to get new info and discuss the Rivian vehicles with peers. I have put a deposit down on the R1S... but I am still undecided between the 2. Hopefully I can change the R1T at a later date, if I decide that is the route I want to go.

    Sub 90k version on the long range battery

    I saw this Q&A this morning and one of the answers shows that the top battery will have a version that is under 90k. "RS: We haven't yet. But we will have a version of the big range vehicle that's sub $90,000."...
