I’m only going by a few decks that I have seen, including my 8100 NEX, But CarPlay is just one feature of the system, it doesn’t replace the system as a CarPlay is just one “icon” on the main console. I’ve been using CarPlay for a couple years now, and I’m hooked. Total integration with my iPhone for hands free and even screen free: Just hit the Siri button and you can have texts read back to you and reply, play anything on Apple Music, listen to podcasts, Audible audio books, and the phone...- North_Van

Official Rivian Pre-Order Thread
EXTREMELY impressed by what I am seeing, and sure checks off an awful lot of boxes for me. I'm waiting to pull the trigger on a pre-order, but I have 2 deal breakers for my next EV: Needs to have Apple CarPlay, and a non-leather option for seats. Hopefully those are in the cards...?- North_Van
